Berkeley Talamo

Preschool Lead Teacher

Berkeley grew up in California before moving to Boston to study Elementary Education at Boston University. After receiving her Bachelors Degree, she spent a year in Denver before finding a preschool teaching position that brought her back to Boston where a few years later she returned to BU for her Masters in Reading Education.

Inside the classroom, Berkeley values play-based learning, something she has fostered during her nearly nine years at a Reggio-inspired center in Boston. She also values social-emotional learning, which helps children build strong relationships with each other and their teachers, setting them up to build confidence and have success on their learning journeys.

Outside of work, Berkeley enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching Disney movies, playing board games, and exploring the city. She also is certified to teach dance fitness and spends time practicing moves that she sometimes teaches to her students.
