Bailey Benton

Infant Lead Teacher

Bailey grew-up in Illinois and moved to Massachusetts prior to attending the University of Vermont. During her time at the University of Vermont, she completed student practicums in various classrooms and eventually worked as an Assistant Toddler Teacher. It was at the UVM center that her love for Reggio Emilia inspired classrooms and the Constructivist Approach began.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Concentration in Special Education, Bailey began working as a Lead Preschool Teacher at a center that emphasizes the importance of a positive social emotional development.

Bailey chose to work in Early Childhood Education because of the curiosity and wonder that young children share with the world. She believes children thrive when provided with open-ended experiences and space to take risks while exploring their environment. She truly loves learning from young children each day.

Outside of the classroom Bailey enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her dog!
