Katrina Tober

Float Lead Teacher

Katrina grew up in Buffalo, NY, but has been living in the Boston area since graduating from college in 1994. She has a BA from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and attended Lesley University for her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood. Katrina has 30 years of early childhood experience from teaching and administrative roles she has held at preschools in the New England Area. She is passionate about developmentally appropriate, emergent curriculum and is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. She has always loved being around young children and finds joy in watching the ways in which they are inspired by and make meaning from the world around them.

When Katrina is not teaching, she enjoys adding to her collection of children’s literature, reading, knitting, walking, and spending time with family and friends at her summer house on the coast of Maine. Her husband, Ben, is also a teacher, and she has two grown children, Aaron and Alexandria.
