Jessica Carangui

Preschool Lead Teacher

Jessica grew up in New Milford, Connecticut. She completed her education in 2018 at the University of Connecticut, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Development and Education. Jessica has worked in a variety of settings with children ages birth-5.

Jessica chooses to spend her day with young children because they are full of energy, laughter, and curiosity. Jessica especially enjoys exposing children to cooking activities because she believes cooking ties in with self-help, motor, math, sensory, and cognitive skills. Jessica is passionate about supporting children in labeling their own emotions, and those of their peers. She feels that labeling emotions is a skill that is needed for the rest of their lives and ultimately helps them fully understand themselves.

Outside of the classroom, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, listening to music, going to the gym, cooking new recipes, and exploring new places. Jessica is still getting to know the Boston area, and looks forward to learning more about her home and exploring the city!
