Micah Trautmann
Postdoctoral Associate
Micah Trautmann is a political philosopher whose research focuses on normative questions about displacement, migration, and territory. His work draws on philosophical insights into the way our environment shapes various aspects of our agency and well-being in order to identify and articulate a set of under-recognized harms in the contemporary landscape of forced displacement — particularly those created by states’ responses to people on the move and via the growing protraction of displacement. He completed his Ph.D. in Philosophy at Boston University in 2024, and his BA at Vassar College.
