Maryam Khalil
Research Associate
Maryam Khalil is a Research Fellow at the Center on Forced Displacement. She earned a B.S. in Human Biology with Honors in International Security Studies and a minor in Anthropology from Stanford University. As a 2024-2025 Fulbright Schuman Scholar, she conducted field research on health access for people on the move in Greece and Italy. She has also worked in the Emergency Room of Abu Salim Trauma and Accident Hospital in Libya and interned with Pull for Progress in Burkina Faso and Ghana. Her research focuses on health access for people on the move, with particular attention to the Mediterranean, carceral settings, search-and-rescue operations, and unaccompanied children.
