Maria Antonia Blandon
Graduate Fellow
Maria Antonia Blandon is a graduate student at the MFA in Literary Translation and recipient of the CFD Fellowship for 2025. With a degree in Literature and experience translating works by well-known authors, she considers translation as both a creative art and a cultural bridge. Through academic research and hands-on projects, she has explored translation as a discipline that connects people, languages, and histories. Her time in the CFD will be oriented to exploring Colombian history related to violence with a focus on kidnappings, which were a common practice in guerrilla warfare during the 1990s and its impact on personal and/or national narratives.
