
Helen Lindsay
Research Associate
Helen Lindsay is a research fellow at the Center on Forced Displacement. She received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University. During her undergrad at BU she was involved in the Partnership for Global Health Technologies and the Program for Humanitarian and Refugee Studies through the Zaman Lab. After graduation she was an Engineering for Change health sector fellow conducting research in Lebanon and later was a managing fellow in the health and WASH sectors. She worked as an engineer in the medical device field before pursuing her Master of Public Health at the University of North Carolina. While earning her masters, Helen worked for the UNC Humanitarian Health Initiative’s Syria project and served as a health policy teaching assistant. She also worked with a local non-profit conducting research on language access in healthcare. Her research interests are in the intersections of forced displacement, technology, and health.
