Getting from Logan Airport to BU / Dormitory Check-in

Make sure that you have the address for your Residence Life Office when you arrive in Boston.  This address was included in the email sent to you from BU Housing about your dormitory assignment.  You can also look this information up on the BU Student Link under “Residence Assignment”.

  • At the Airport: When you arrive at Logan Airport, you can either take a taxi cab to your Residence Life Office, or bus/train to BU.
    • Taxi
      • cost: $30-40
      • travel time: 20-30 minutes
    • Bus/Train
      • cost: Free using the Silver Line bus
      • travel time: 60 – 75 minutes
      • instructions: Look for the Silver Line stop at the airport.  You will take the Silver Line to South Station, transfer for the Red Line to Park Street, and transfer for the Green Line B to BU. Check Google Maps for directions from “Boston Logan Airport” to the address of your Residence Life Office using Public Transportation.
  • At the Residence Life (ResLife) Office
    • If the ResLife office is open (usually 9am-5pm, 7pm-12am), then the staff will help you check in and get your keys.  Please note that students living on Bay State Road, or in South Campus will need to get their BU ID cards at the Terrier Card Office before they can get into their dorms.  Ask the staff if you need assistance.
    • If the office is not open, there will be a phone number posted for the RA on call/duty.  Call that number and tell them you are at the Residence Life Office and you need to check in.  They’ll help you check in and get your keys.
