Stephanie Ortiz

As a sophomore majoring in neuroscience, I have gained interest in the cognitive and developmental aspects of psychology. My passion for this field began during high school when I took several classes in psychology and biology. In high school I also had the opportunity to work with children from ages 5-17 in various mentoring and volunteering experiences. Since then, I have aspired to become a child psychiatrist and open a private practice. I joined BEE Lab because I am truly fascinated with studies that seek to understand how parents support healthy brain development during a child’s critical period. During my spare time, I read, play tennis, explore Boston, and hang out with friends.

Alumni Update: Stephanie graduated in 2016 with a B.A. in Neuroscience. She is currently a research coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital.
