Before joining the Child Cognition Lab, I studied English and cognitive science at UC Davis. As an undergraduate, I designed and led an introductory high school neuroscience curriculum, taught creative writing classes in low-income elementary schools and juvenile detention centers, and studied causal reasoning through the UC Davis Center for Neuroscience, among other projects.  I intend to pursue a doctoral degree in developmental psychology — my research interests include the origins of narrative thinking, early education practices, and the phenomenology of art and literature.
