Caitlin Canfield

Graduate Student

Caitlin is a fourth year PhD student in the Developmental Science program at BU. Her research focuses on young children’s language abilities, with a particular interest in why some infants become skilled word learners while others don’t, as well as how children use language to learn about abstract or complex concepts. She’s currently working on her doctoral dissertation examining how temperament and social word-learning skills affect infants’ overall language development.
