As a senior at Boston University, my college career will soon come to a wonderful close. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an minor in English. For the past two years, I have been a research assistant studying domestic commercial sex trafficking. I examine its prevalence in the United States and the risk factors associated with the a vulnerability of entrance into human trafficking. To kick off my senior year, I will be working at the BEE Lab as a summer Research Assistant. The excitement will continue as I conduct an Honors Project about domestic commercial sex trafficking and start my first year as a Resident Assistant in Rich Hall! After graduation I plan to take a two-year gap to gain further research experience, and then apply to PhD programs in Clinical Psychology. I am primarily interested in trauma, how it physiologically and psychologically manifests in an individual, and its lifelong effects on resiliency, self-fulfillment, and social relationships. My favorite ways to relax include tanning and exercising on the Charles River Esplanade, binging on my favorite TV shows, and creating new memories with my friends over a good meal somewhere in Boston.
