I use physiology and molecular tools to understand how both temperate and tropical coral species persist in the face of global change. My dissertation research is focused on disentangling the distinct responses of the coral host and its endosymbiotic algae to temperature stress, and understanding the role of cryptic diversity in driving these responses.
