My name is Ethan Bair, and I am a Ph.D. candidate working with my advisor, Prof. Merav Opher, on global simulations of the heliosphere as a part of the SHIELD NASA DRIVE Science Center. My current project is on pickup-ion distributions in the solar wind and heliosheath. I received my B.S. in Engineering Physics from Cornell University in 2020, my M.Eng. in Engineering Physics from Cornell in 2021, and my M.A. in Astronomy from Boston University in 2024. Outside of research, I play D&D and organize the Astronomy Department’s intramural soccer team.
