BUCSA Student Paper Prize Contest

BUCSA invites research essays on a topic in any discipline related to Asia written by BU undergraduate or graduate students for classes taken during Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.

Prizes will be awarded in two categories:

• Undergraduate student paper (minimum 2000 words). Three prizes of $300 each will be awarded.
• Graduate student (minimum 6000 words). One prize of $750 will be awarded.

Students may self-nominate their paper or can be nominated by their professors.

Please send the essay to buasia@bu.edu by May 8th, 2026. Please put “Student Essay Contest Entry” in the subject line.

Please include your full name, student ID number, course information for which you wrote the paper.
