Accounting and finance both deal with numbers, although through two different lenses, say Questrom School of Business students Sophia Chabris and Andrea Nunez. Finance analyzes data to project how a company is doing, what it’s likely to produce in the future and how it compares to other companies in the same industry. Accounting looks back at historical data to ensure that clients and employers are acting responsibly and reporting accurately.
