BU Today Is Seeking Interns for Summer and Fall 2026
Deadline to apply for paid internships is March 30
Students, if you’re an experienced writer and looking for a paid internship, BU Today would like to hear from you.
We have openings for general assignment writing interns for this summer and fall semester, 2026. In addition, we have an opening for a sports intern, starting in September. Candidates should have strong writing skills and must have previous journalism experience (published clips are required).
The summer positions will be part-time (10 hours) positions. Positions for the fall semester are also 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities include pitching and writing stories about student life (including arts, fashion, lifestyle, and sports), research, and alumni news. Additional duties include writing our weekly Weekend @ BU series, updating our Neighborhood series, helping staff writers with background research, transcribing audio, and assisting with breaking news stories. Sports intern responsibilities include game previews and coverage as well as feature reporting and profiles.
The deadline for applying is Monday, March 30.
