25 Tuesdays, 25 Terriers, 25 Inspiring Pieces of Advice
Highlights from a year of #TerrierTuesdays
In 2025, our Instagram #TerrierTuesdays series continued to spotlight the incredible students who make up the Boston University community. Each week, a new Terrier took over the BU Instagram to give followers an inside look at their life on campus, from how they first found their footing at BU to the opportunities they’ve embraced to the goals they’re chasing next. They invited us into their routines, passions, and creative pursuits, all while connecting with viewers who chimed in with questions and support. Although every takeover told a different story, we ended each one with the same question: “What advice would you give to your fellow Terriers?” Here’s what they had to say:
Cooper McCreary (Questrom’28, Pardee’28)

“Follow your true interests, and what you find is fun because that will be what makes BU special for you. Always find ways to have fun.”
Emma Park-Miller (COM’27)

“Trust the process! I know that everyone says that, but truly trust the process. No matter how near or far you may feel from your original plans, you will end up exactly where you are meant to be. It is also increasingly important to use your voice—please do! You are given the freedom of speech for a reason; do not let it go to waste, and please advocate for those who can’t.”
David Sanchez (CAS’27)

“Do everything you can, say yes to everything, safely, of course. No one here knows who you were before; take the opportunity to completely reinvent yourself and discover who you are. Also, call your parents, I promise they wanna hear about your adventures.”
Helen Lallos-Harrell (CAS’27)

“It’s going to be okay. No matter how many curveballs are thrown at you or how much doubt creeps in, you will be all right. College is tough, but you can succeed in whatever capacity that looks like to you. It takes time, but you will get there.”
Camille Morocco (COM ’26, CAS’26)

“Give yourself grace when you’re adjusting to college—it’s completely normal to be overwhelmed and worn out. Rest!”
Charlotte Weeks (COM’26)

“Be generous, especially with your love and time!”
Mason Sanford (SHA’28)

“Get involved on campus! Join clubs, go to events, and try new things! This will shape your college experience for the better.”
Yana Pathak (CDS’26)

“Take advantage of the opportunities BU has to offer—try new things, meet new people, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Everything will work out!”
Kathryn Jordan (Questrom’27)

“Get involved early, try things you’ve never done before, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. The best opportunities I’ve had at BU came from saying ‘yes’ and figuring the rest out along the way.”
Zyna Azim (CAS’27)

“Get out of your comfort zone. Make new friends. Be kind, just because. And make the most of your time here, because it’s going to go by so fast.”
Maanav Amin (Questrom’25)

“Don’t stress about what others are doing. Don’t join clubs or organizations because you think it’s what employers want to see—do what interests and excites you!”
Rebecca Peng (CAS’25)

“You have to put yourself out there! Your BU experience is what you make of it, and there is never harm in taking a chance.”
Harshita Pattam (CAS’26)

“The days are long, but the years are short! It flies by, so take it all in—I can’t believe I’m in my last semester of undergrad!”
Anisha Lacerda (Sargent’26)

“Get involved. Boston is such a big community and it can feel hard to find your place. Getting involved in community service and giving back, it allows you to feel like you are making a difference and being part of this amazing community.”
Catherine Knox (CAS’26)

“Get involved! I think being a part of something much bigger than yourself that positively affects other students at BU really gives you something to look forward to. Making an impact on others helps build your confidence and strengthens your connections.”
Rohin Bajaj (CAS’25)

“Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, meet new people, and chase your passions!”
Malia Montalvo (COM’26)

“Savor your time in higher ed by taking things at a steady pace.”
Melanie Loza (Questrom’26)

“Go for a ride on a scooter!!”
Abdel Shousha (COM’27)

“Make the most of all the resources and connections BU has to offer. College moves quickly so open up as many doors as you can while you’re here. Go Terriers!”
Murielle Codjia (Sargent’27)

“Don’t just survive college—thrive in it.”
Alli Zeoli (CFA’26)

“Dream big, think big, and never limit yourself. Don’t underestimate the relationships you can build here.”
Andrea Esperon (COM’25)

“Take pictures or film your college moments—it’s a fun way to keep memories alive and look back on all the good times.”
Michaela Asante (Questrom’25)

“There will be plenty of changes, breakups, rejections, and things that may seem like setbacks—but you will always land where you need to be. Stay focused on your goal, take care of yourself, and be ready to pivot. You got this!”
Julia Wesigner (CAS’25)

“Don’t let other people’s opinions or perceptions of you inhibit your ability to trust yourself and succeed.”
Sarah Dwyer (Sargent’27)

“Stay connected and spend time with your friends and family, lean on them during tough times. Do things that scare you—they are often the best opportunities for learning and growth!”
