Free End-of-Semester Dance Class
BU Dance Program is hosting end-of-semester dance classes for dancers of all levels. The final one offered is stretch and relaxation, a fitting class as students head into finals.

Tuesday, May 9
Students in the BU College of Fine Arts School of Visual Arts have two exhibitions this week: the first features work from the BFA graphic design, painting, printmaking, and sculpture programs, and the second is focused on graphic design. The exhibitions run through May 19.
The BFA Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking Thesis Exhibition, Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery, and the BFA Graphic Design Thesis Exhibition, 808 Gallery, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm, through Friday, May 19.
Wednesday, May 10
Beetlejuice
Based on Tim Burton’s 1988 cult classic, this musical is receiving rave write-ups as well as a Tony nomination. Presented by Broadway in Boston, Beetlejuice (don’t say that word three times, or else) expands on the film’s premise, about two newly dead newlyweds trying to rid their house of its new inhabitants.

The Seaport Summer Market is back. This outdoor retail experience celebrates local entrepreneurship, craftsmanship, and artistry. This year, there are more than 130 vendors participating (they vary by week), in addition to food stalls and a special pop-up exhibition from the Boston Children’s Museum.

Mother’s Day
Lilac Sunday
If your mom lives close by, we suggest celebrating Mother’s Day at Jamaica Plain’s Arnold Arboretum on Lilac Sunday. Take a stroll through the fragrant blooms. Picnicking in the arboretum is allowed on this day only, so make the most of it and pack a lunch.
