Follow the Boston Bruins, now the most successful regular-season team in NHL history with 133 points, as they battle their way through the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs. Watch on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, TNT, and TBS, or on ESPN+, and be sure to tune back in for the finals in June.

BU Wheelock Ed Policy Seminar Series: Jim Wyckoff
Boston University’s Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies and the Wheelock Educational Policy Center host guest speaker Jim Wyckoff, Curry Memorial Professor of Education and Policy at the University of Virginia, in the April installment of the Ed Policy Seminar Series. Wyckoff’s talk, “School Segregation, Teacher Sorting, and the Distribution of Teachers,” will delve into his research on teacher labor markets.

Book Talk with Author Evette Dionne
Join National Book Award–nominated author and Coretta Scott King Book Award honoree Evette Dionne as she discusses her latest book, Weightless: Making Space for My Resilient Body and Soul. Weightless takes an unflinching look at how size, gender, and race influence cultural preconceptions, and what it takes to overcome them.

Wednesday, April 19
It’s On Us Boston University, a group that supports survivors of sexual violence, invites the BU community to its first Survivor Vigil. The event will include a resource fair, speakers, and interactive displays. The night will end with a candlelight vigil to honor all living survivors and remember those who fell victim to sexual violence.

BU Sustainability: Sargent Choice Nutrition Center Cooking Demonstration for Students
Celebrate Earth Day with the Sargent Choice Nutrition Center in their virtual kitchen. Learn basic cooking techniques and sustainable kitchen practices in the form of a healthy recipe suited for a full kitchen or dorm space.

BU Regulated Community Compliance Project: Detoxifying Commerce
Students and the public are invited to convene to discuss opportunities for individuals to reduce the toxicity of our modern world. Sections include presentations from a variety of experts from across the nation, as well as breakout groups tasked with exploring novel ways to look at environmental data.

Ha Jin Visiting Lecturer Series: Sigrid Nunez
National Book Award–winning author Sigrid Nunez will give a reading and then participate in an audience Q&A. A reception and book signing will follow the reading; books will be available for sale.

Camp Liquid Fun Annual 24-Hour Comedy Marathon
Join Liquid Fun, BU’s premier improv comedy group, for 24 hours of nonstop comedy to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank. From Friday to Saturday, Liquid Fun will perform at BU Central with the help of local university comedy groups.

Stage Troupe, BU’s oldest and largest extracurricular theater group, presents On the Verge, a story of three 19th-century explorers who embark on a journey to “the last ‘undiscovered’ land on the globe”: Terra Incognita. Little do they know, their journey will bring them forward in time—to the year 1955.
