If you want to get a taste of the ocean, but can’t leave the city, head over to Newbury Street and check out the Copley Society of Art’s current exhibition, Connected Land & Sea. The show features a dazzling collection of more than two dozen paintings, sculptures, and photographs by artists from across the United States that explore the concept of water meeting land. Drawing on the New England coast for inspiration, the artists’ works include captivating views of the ocean in all light and weather, as well as boats, sea life, and the shoreline. Among the local artists included in the show are Katherine Richmond, Ray Crane, and Charlie Longtine.
