Editor’s Note: Discover Cutting-Edge Research on The Brink
Formerly Research, redesigned site brings you BU breakthroughs in a new format

We’re thrilled to introduce you to the redesigned and renamed source for research news from Boston University, The Brink, formerly known as Research. The website’s refreshed look and feel will provide you with more ways to discover the latest breakthroughs and research stories through new editorial and visual formats that reflect all the ways we consume content today.
The renaming of the website reflects our desire to dish out stories as envelope-pushing and exciting as the BU research we report on. University faculty and student researchers are constantly pioneering new frontiers in science and creating collaborations that work beyond traditional boundaries, an environment that brings them over the brink of discovering something new every day. And we want The Brink to capture that energy and culture, bringing you stories that will transport you to the cutting edge alongside our researchers in the lab or the field.
As you browse through The Brink, you’ll notice it’s easier than before to find related stories on our sister publications, BU Today and Bostonia, and vice versa. Through the website redesign, The Brink is now even more closely connected to BU Today and Bostonia, which have also been rejuvenated in big ways. Like The Brink’s, their new function and appearance is meant to make our news stories stand out and feel accessible to you, whether you’re on your laptop at a café or catching up on the latest news during your commute, smartphone in hand.
With all of these changes, we welcome your feedback. Please email us at comment@bu.edu or thebrink@bu.edu.
Thanks for reading,
