    Start EARLY! In Metro Boston, it can take 6 months to a year to get an initial appointment with a teen psychiatrist who will address suicide, and even longer to get one who is working well with your teen.

  2. A very close friend of mine lost his 14 year old daughter to suicide about 2 months ago. She gave absolutely no hints as to her intentions. They went to a birthday party and she was so happy….as usual. She went home first and posted a strange statement on her Facebook page and then,(while only home alone for half hour) hung herself in her backyard! Her mom found her. It has devastated her family and I don’t know how I can help them. If anyone has any advice please email me at hairhelp411@gmail.com. thank you,
