A Week of ASB Tweets
Volunteers asked to share stories
This past weekend, nearly 400 BU students boarded planes, trains, and automobiles for places as far away as Montana, Louisiana, and Puerto Rico as part of the Community Service Center’s Alternative Spring Break program. All week, they’ll spend their vacation helping communities: restocking food pantries, caring for the ill, tutoring children, improving the environment, and assisting in animal shelters. If you’re one of them, BU Today wants to hear from you.
Please send tweets and twitpics to hashtag #BUASB, and they will show up in the CoverItLive player above throughout the week.
Alternative Spring Break, founded in 1987 and run by the Community Service Center, gives students an opportunity to learn about social issues, develop leadership skills, and form strong bonds with trip mates, all while helping those less fortunate.
