JET to Paradise
Aussie rockers on Comm Ave tonight

JET plans to shake things up tonight at the Paradise Rock Club.
The Aussie rockers have yet to match the explosive success of their debut album, Get Born, which spawned hit singles “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and “Look What You’ve Done,” but their third album, Shaka Rock, may get there. It’s a refreshing departure from the gritty pub-rock glory days of Get Born and the melancholic haze of Shine On. From “Beat on Repeat” and “Seventeen” to “Times Like This,” and “She Holds a Grudge,” the album moves into new territory while maintaining the band’s primitive rock roots.
Tonight’s show at the Paradise Rock Club, 967 Commonwealth Ave., is 18+; tickets ($22.50) can be purchased online or by calling 617-562-8800. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8.
