EarthFest 2008 Expected to Draw Huge Crowds
CAKE and friends to rock Hatch Shell for free Saturday
Alt rockers CAKE, along with Cracker, the BoDeans, and the English Beat, will shake the stage at the DCR Hatch Shell on the banks of the Charles River this Saturday, May 24, as part of EarthFest 2008 — and it’s all for free.
The 15th annual EarthFest offers up a day of live music on two stages (one devoted to rising Boston talent), as well as an interactive entertainment area for families. Last year’s lineup included Guster, K. T. Tunstall, Mat Kearney, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, with some putting crowd estimates at more than 100,000. Bop around the tent village to scope out eco-friendly products and the good deeds of nonprofit organizations from around New England.
EarthFest 2008 takes place at the DCR Hatch Shell, One David G. Mugar Way, on Saturday, May 24, 2008, from noon to 6 p.m., sponsored by Whole Foods and Radio 92.9 and produced with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Click here for more information.
