MFA candidates show at BU galleries

The next big thing will be on display tonight at Boston University’s art galleries.
The opening receptions for the annual MFA graduate exhibitions — which give master’s candidates at the College of Fine Arts school of visual arts the opportunity to showcase their work before graduating — are being held tonight, April 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., at three of the University’s galleries. The work of the MFA graphic design students will be shown at the BU Art Gallery, at 855 Commonwealth Ave.; the master’s painting exhibition will be in the 808 Gallery, at 808 Commonwealth Ave.; and pieces from the MFA studio teaching program, as well as the MFA/BFA art education programs, will be on view at the Commonwealth Gallery, at 855 Commonwealth Ave.
CFA students typically spend two years completing an MFA; the school’s alumni have taught and exhibited throughout the country and all over the world.
