About

Samantha holds an M.S. in Forensic Anthropology and a B.A. in Archaeology and Biological Anthropology, both from Boston University. Before joining her current department, she managed BU’s Zooarchaeology Laboratory from 2019 to 2023 and worked as a Research Analyst for the Smithsonian Institution, where she contributed to projects in zooarchaeology and historical ecology.

Samantha currently serves as the Anthropology Department Administrator and Laboratory Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, including scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and faculty and student support, and serving as the primary liaison for both daily and strategic administrative matters, while also managing anthropology research and teaching laboratories. In addition to her administrative roles, she is the campus Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) Collections Manager and a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology’s Forensic Anthropology Program, where she teaches and mentors students in forensic casework and skeletal analysis.
