About Professor Mustafa
Mentor Mustafa is cross-trained in cultural anthropology (Ph.D., Boston University, 2015) and biological anthropology (M.A., University of Arizona, 2002). His areas of specialization in cultural anthropology are anthropology of religion and religious revival after communism in Southeastern Europe. Whereas in biological anthropology, areas of specialization are in the prehistory of hunters and gatherers, the study of stone tool technology and human evolution. Dr. Mustafa is committed to developing effective teaching and learning strategies in higher education (M.Ed., Salem State University, 2006). His undergraduate major was in archaeological science with a minor in anthropology (B.A., Boston University, 1999).
