About
Hassan Abubakar is a PhD student in sociocultural anthropology. His research focuses on change and continuity in ‘Ajami (the tradition of writing African languages using a modified Arabic script), examining how it has evolved in response to modern social, political, and technological changes while retaining its cultural and religious significance. Before coming to BU, Hassan taught in the Department of Sociology, Kaduna State University. He holds a BSc and an MSc in Sociology from Bayero University.
