Mariah Kupfner (2020) Joins Penn State Harrisburg’s Faculty as Assistant Professor of American Studies and Public Heritage

Dr. Mariah (Gruner) Kupfner will be joining Penn State Harrisburg’s faculty in August as Assistant Professor of American Studies and Public Heritage! Dr. Kupfner holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Tufts University and a PhD in American & New England Studies from Boston University. She also holds a graduate certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from BU as well.

She currently serves as a Recentering Collections Curatorial Fellow at Historic New England and has previously worked as a program developer for BU’s public humanities undergraduate fellowship program and as a consultant in textiles for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
