Prosthetics and Orthotic Technologies

This course provides an integrated study of prosthetics, orthotics, and robotic technologies focused on optimizing movement using assistive devices and cutting-edge rehabilitation advances. Students will learn the clinical management of lower extremity amputations and orthotic interventions, while exploring wearable sensors, robotics, neurostimulation, and neuroprosthetic platforms. The curriculum emphasizes leveraging these technologies to restore and enhance functional mobility in patients with limb loss, neuromotor, and musculoskeletal impairments.
