Minor in Communication
The minor in Communication encompasses focus areas in:
- Communication Studies
- Advertising
- Public Relations
Prerequisite: Completion of COM CO 201 with a grade of C or better before declaring the minor. Students must have the Department of Mass Communication, Advertising & Public Relations (at the College of Communication) sign the Communication minor form after they complete the prerequisite.
Students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 in all courses taken toward the minor in communication.
Required Courses
Six required courses:
- Two required courses:
- COM CM 321 Mass Communication Research or COM CM 380 Theory & Process of Communication
- COM CM 331 Writing for Communication
- Four 4-credit COM CM courses at the 300 level or higher
