That’s a LOT of hate for one god: fags, Jews, Israel…

    What next? Baptists?

    Thank you !

    To the counter-protesters,

Thank you for your efforts to fight the hateful words and actions of this group. I fail to see how those who profess to be part of a church or religious community can spew such hatred.

    Church?

The Westboro Baptist Church don’t deserve to be called a church. They’ve been rejected by all the other churches, and they give all Christians a bad name.

It is nothing more than a FOOL who twists the meaning of Gods word so to reflect that which these individuals proport. Our God is a Loving God and would never utter the words of hatred that these protestors speak. They are not worthy of acknowledgement, for that is what they seek – attention! The truth speaks for itself…The majority speaks MONUMENTS over the few FOOLS amongst us!!!! What an embarrassment for the rest of the Baptist faith who DO NOT agree with their stupidity!

I am confused, because you didn't say what it was about

Neither the photo nor the text explain about what this protest was, and I really would have liked to know, not to make assumptions. So, please clarify. Thanks.

The Westboro Baptist Church is a cruel, twisted group of people who don’t understand who God is. Whoever they’re worshiping, it certainly isn’t the loving, peaceful God all the rest of us Christians worship. Thank you to all of you who made it out to the counter protest to show these people that God is about love, not hate–if I hadn’t had class and work, I would’ve been there too.

    Proud Alum

Seeing these photos and hearing about the counter protest or “love rally” made me very proud to be a BU alum.

Oh and they already do hate other Baptists who are “rogue” in their view.

I’m pretty sure there was a social group from 1940′s Germany that also specifically hated gays and Jews…

    The Sad Truth

It’s unfortunate that these groups exist, but it is just another example out of many of how powerful the dogma actually is in these institutions. I didn’t think much of it until I actually saw the kids there. It then really hit me that such a young mind was being walled of from critical inquiry, and indoctrinated into such world views. They will forever cease to think. What greater crime is there to humanity then to stop thinking? This is not an isolated incident as many people would love to believe. This type of Dogma, radical or not, is ultimately dangerous to civilization.

Voltaire put it best. “Those who believe in absurdities, commit atrocities.”

church? you have no right to call this pathetic group a church. it is disgusting the signs that you hold. ‘thank god for september 11′. its disgusting that you would protest at the funderal of a poor innocent boy, who got MURDERED because he was gay. that is just sad, pathetic, and disgusting.
