Student Activities Office (SAO) and Community Service Center (CSC), are joining together to create the Student Leadership & Impact Center (SLIC) – a new hub for leadership, advocacy, engagement, and impact on campus and throughout Boston. SLIC will empower students to lead, serve, and organize for meaningful change through a cohesive, purpose-driven model of engagement.
Look out for new programs and services launching this academic year that align with SLIC’s six strategic pillars:
- Leadership Development
- Community Engagement
- Civic Agency & Advocacy
- Dialogue & Collaboration
- Programming & Belonging
- Reflection & Purpose
Importantly, the work of both SAO and CSC will continue. Student organization support will remain a priority, and the identity of the CSC will be retained while operating within SLIC, to honor its legacy. Together, we will offer expanded advising, leadership development, and opportunities to connect student organizations’ work with the broader BU and Boston communities.
