Educational Resource Center

About Us

“If you’re struggling and have no idea what to do, ERC tutors can help you to focus and start from the beginning of where your troubles are rooted.”—Student survey response

The Educational Resource Center (ERC) helps Boston University students develop the range and depth of academic skills required by the University’s rigorous programs. We focus on promoting a disciplined approach to study, fostering active and independent learning, developing an awareness and understanding of one’s own thought process, and advocating the strategic use of resources available throughout the University.

The center serves as an academic referral, training, and information resource for the University community; including faculty, staff, administration, parents, alumni, and both undergraduate and graduate students.

ERC services are free and can benefit all students who are interested in improving their academic performance.

Individual Advising: ERC staff members are available to meet with students and assist in developing a personalized plan for academic success.
