Early Access

I n t r o d u c t i o n
rule

Early access to computing resources is available to incoming freshmen, transfer students, and new graduate students. These services require a BU login name and Kerberos password.

  • Incoming students who have not established a BU Web account will receive an e-mail invitation and PIN on dates determined by their individual programs.
  • Incoming students who have established a BU Web account can use that account to choose their BU login name and Kerberos password

The BU login name and Kerberos password you choose will provide single sign-on access to most services requiring authentication, for as long as you are at Boston University. Use the links in the "Apply" section later in this page to create your BU login name and Kerberos password.
