Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nadia Murad Speaks at BU
On October 15, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nadia Murad (right), a human rights activist and Yazidi genocide survivor, spoke at a Boston University Pardee School of Global Affairs event titled Women, Power, and Justice: An Evening with Nadia Murad. A leading advocate for survivors of genocide and sexual violence, Murad has brought international attention to the plight of Yazidis and other communities affected by conflict-related sexual violence through her storytelling and activism. Nora Loori, a Pardee associate professor of international relations (left), moderated the discussion, held at Morse Auditorium.
