From AI’s impact on the arts to hands-on drawing and live music inspired by the natural world, this event offers something for everyone—no experience needed, just curiosity and a love of learning.

The impact of AI on the Art World: 9:15 – 10:45 am

Lecture by Frank White: In this session, Frank will discuss the impact of AI on architecture, cinema, literature, painting, theater, and music.

Yes, you CAN draw! Starting a sketchbook, no experience needed: 10:45 am – 12 pm

Lecture by Lucinda Draine: This session will include a short slideshow including the artist’s own sketchbook and examples from other artists who work with drawing, emphasizing the wide range of results available with pencil and paper.

Lunch: 12 – 1 pm

Drawing Workshop with Lucinda Draine: 1 – 2 pm

Students will learn the art of pencil drawing. Sketchbook and pencil will be provided.

Spring and Nature: 2 – 3:15 pm

Lecture & Musical Performance by Virginia Eskin: Virginia will share charming compositions that demonstrate birdsong, nature, and gardens in music. Music by Beach, Debussy, Lamb, and Rachmaninov are included.
