How to Schedule an Advising Appointment through Handshake:

1. Log into Handshake using your BU credentials (bu.joinhandshake.com)
2. Select the Career Center tab and on the next page select Appointments
3. Select Schedule New Appointment and then choose the CAS Academic Advising Category
4. Select the appropriate Appointment Type (see below) and follow the prompts to select a date and then a time that works best for you
5. Please be sure to schedule your Registration Advising Appointment with your assigned advisor

• Neuroscience General Advising: 30-minute appointment for all students to discuss various advising needs 
• Neuroscience Registration Advising: 15-minute appointment for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors to discuss course selection for next semester (should be scheduled with your assigned advisor)
• Neuroscience First-Year Registration Advising: 30-minute appointment for first-year students to discuss course selection for next semester (should be scheduled with your assigned advisor)

To cancel your appointment, go to the appointments page, click on the appointment you wish to cancel, then click the red cancel button. Feel free to leave a message to the advisor!

Please Note: 

*You cannot cancel your appointment within 18-hours of the scheduled time. If you need to cancel within this time frame, please send a message to the advisor via Handshake or email.

*If you arrive late for your appointment by 15 minutes or more (general advising and first-year registration advising) you will be considered a no show, and it will be necessary for you to reschedule your appointment.
