This faculty panel will explore how terms such as Latino/a, Latinx, Latine, and Hispanic shape identity, belonging, and research. Moving beyond the search for a single “correct” label, the panel will discuss how self-identification, culture, gender, context, and bilingual language practices can guide more precise, affirming, and inclusive communication and services. This discussion relates to recent articles by the panelists including in JAMA, Salud Pública de México, and Global Qualitative Nursing Research.
