From Safe Spaces to Thriving Spaces

Join us for a talk with Andrew Aleman, LCSW who is Deputy Director Black and Pink National. This professional development opportunity will explore the differences between safe spaces and thriving spaces, examine the ways in which societal events and pressures shift campus culture, and share antiracist strategies which can be utilized within staff and faculty led spaces. Andrew’s work is based in dismantling systems of oppression and shifting power to those who are targets of these oppressive systems. Andrew has worked in higher education as both staff and faculty and is uniquely positioned to lead us in this program.
