John Paulson (1850)
John Paulson served churches in both the New England and South Kansas conferences. Under his leadership, a church was built and dedicated in Fort Scott, Kansas, in 1869. During the Civil War, he was chaplain of the 8th Kansas regiment and in 1876 was the Prohibition Party candidate for governor of Kansas. He died March 4, 1893 in Fort Scott.
