George Edward Brown
George Edward Brown of Lenexa, Kansas received an A.B. from Baker University in 1908. In those days, he was also a member of Zeta Chi. His friends, who knew him as George Eddie, understood him to be quick witted and very sharp. Indeed, he was the School of Theology’s prize debater.
Come I to speak of George Brown’s deeds,
That some have thought were poisonous weeds.
He strikes, like Brutus, one death blow
To him who proves our school’s fell foe.
