Albert Lorenzo Martin
Albert Lorenzo Martin of Berea, Ohio came from the ranks of German American Methodists. He attendant German Wallace College (now part of Baldwin Wallace University), and took courses at Nast Seminary, German. Like so many of his STH classmates, he was a well rounded student. At Wallace, he was Senior Class Prophet, president of the Schiller Literary Society, and a member of the debate team. He was also president of the Y.M.C.A. He excelled in both the arts and athletics, being a member of the choral society, glee club, college orchestra and basketball team. His German-American identity was a point of amusement for his fellow classmates at STH.
