Right Rev. Dr. Rajamanickam Paulraj
Rt. Rev. Dr. Rajamanickam Paulraj was the former bishop of the Trichy- Tanjore Diocese of the Church of South India. Bishop Paulraj was consecrated as the bishop of the Trichy- Tanjore Diocese on the 21st January 1982. He was actively involved in the CSI synod as a bishop and was elected as the Deputy Moderator of the Church of South India for the term 1994 – 1996. He guided the diocese for 16 years. He was an excellent scholar and a bishop, who was awarded with three doctorates. He was leading an active life after his retirement on the 4th July, 1998 in Trichy. He was a great leader and a role model. His theological understanding and the vision for the ministry was greatly appreciated. He passed on to glory at the age of 82 on the 18th of January 2016. The Bishop is survived with his wife Ms. Shanti Paulraj, and children Dr. Sam and Ms. Joy.
