John Paul Horn

John Paul Horn, PhD (SSW’20), LMSW, studies higher education as a social/economic mobility mechanism for former foster youth. His focus is on the individual, relational, and organizational factors affecting educational outcomes. He works with Professor RenĂ©e Spencer on various mentoring projects and stays active in national child welfare policy advocacy efforts. His professional experience includes community practice, healthcare, education, training/technical assistance, and child welfare advocacy. Mr. Horn is a former foster youth of the California foster care system and a proud member of the Foster Care Alumni of America.
