Abigail N. Walters
Research Associate, IECOHD
Abigail N. Walters is a research associate at the Institute for Equity in Child Opportunity & Healthy Development at BUSSW. Her work focuses on equity, family job quality, and immigrants’ access to social safety net programs. In addition, Walters performs policy equity assessments on social safety net programs.
Prior to joining the Institute, Walters was a senior research associate at The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, where she focused on elder economic insecurity, older workers, and housing. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, and she holds a master’s degree in public policy and a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Simmons University.
