Webinar, 2/10: Professional Strategies for Teen Marijuana Use, Led by Rick Cresta
Join BUSSW lecturer Rick Cresta on February 10, 2021 for the virtual workshop “Chronic Marijuana Use in Teens: What’s the Big Deal? Strategies for Helping Professionals Working with Teens.”
The workshop, which is designed for professionals in the human services field, will teach strategies for engaging youth in conversations about their marijuana use while mitigating defensive reactions. Cresta will also teach participants about the impact of chronic marijuana use in a variety of functional areas and the effect of recent changes to the law on attitudes and behavior.
This workshop is hosted by BU’s School of Social Work and co-sponsored and funded by the Falmouth Commission on Substance Use and Gosnold Treatment Centers.
SPEAKER
Rick Cresta, LICSW is a faculty member at Boston University’s School of Social Work. Cresta works with court-involved youth in private practice and is a trainer and consultant for DCF, DYS, DPH and others.
